micro$oft, the multi billion dollar organization which famous with its “no-money-no-expertise” (i made this myself) has announced a rather shocking press release this week. “WE ARE GOING OPEN-SOURCE!” yes thats what the press release generally say (or rather what I understood and other billions of people are). People, we are going to get free micro$oft software after this. Is this for real?

“For the past 33 years, we have shared a lot of information with hundreds of thousands of partners around the world and helped build the industry, but today’s announcement represents a significant expansion toward even greater transparency. Our goal is to promote greater interoperability, opportunity and choice for customers and developers throughout the industry by making our products more open and by sharing even more information about our technologies.” -Steve Ballmer

So is this mean, the war between big corporation and open source community has nearly to an end? with micro$oft waiving the white flag? well, let’s just wait and see. maybe after this i can get vista for free and full version of micro$oft office corporate edition. uh uh uh … then again, why should i bother. there is always “pirates” who are willing to do all the “monkey-jobs” to a make a better world.
